Club Championship Format
1.CLASS AWARD
a) Club class champion and runner up on overall points score ( only 2 trophies presented) for Midgets and Rookies a 3rd place trophy will be awarded.
b) C Grade Champion will be first C Grade placing after class champion and runner up determined. ( only one trophy to any C grader. If a C Grader wins Champion or runner up they are ineligible for C Grade Champions trophy)
c) If C grade at start of championship will remain C grade for the remainder of the year for determining C grade championship trophy.
2. OVERALL CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS JUNIOR/SENIOR AWARDS;
a)Junior Champion includes all Junior classes, Midgets & Rookies
b) Must win a class championship to be eligible for club champion.
3. CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS SCORE
a) Best five rounds plus compulsory race day duty to count towards class championship. ( this may be done by another person on your behalf)
b) 25 points = 1st, 23 points = 2nd 22 points = 3rd an so on.
4. POINTS SCORE FOR OVERALL CLUB CHAMPIONS;
a) Best five rounds count towards club class championship.
b) must have won class championship to be eligible for overall club champion.
c) Add an extra point to each class champions total points for each competitor beaten home, by class champion, on each race day including all races competitor raced at the club. ( If 3rd on a given day in a field of 20 add 17 points to their total for the round so if a competitor races all rounds he will be awarded points for more than 5 rounds towards overall club champion.)
d) If still equal most firsts, seconds etc
e) If still equal dual awards presented.
5. CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP PIONTS CALCULATION;
a) points allocation commences from first race day after joining the club.
b)Points not transferable between classes.
c)In case of tie in points. Count back of 1st,2nd,3rd etc will occur. All race days eligible for overall club championship points allocation. This means that drivers who attend all meetings will have a distinct advantage. If points still equal, joint awards to be given.
d) Must do a race day duty on a race day for each class that a driver contests for club championships If you wish to compete in two class championships, you must do two club race day duties.
e) Drivers/ Guardians responsibility to sign race day duty book. Driver to sign book when signing indemnity form, and note class for which duty is being done.
f) The race day duty book is the final reference in any dispute as to race day duty done/not done. No signature no duty done
g) To do a duty at a race meeting must inform race secretary before race day.
h) minimum entries for a class to count towards club championships round: Senior- 5 Junior/Rookies /Midgets- 4.
i) Minumim number of rounds to count as a club class championship = 5.
j) Saturday and Sunday meetings count towards club championship.
k) If during a club championship round any competitor found guilty using illegal equipment by the stewards of the day or by a tribunal will be excluded from that round of the championship.
